PROFESSIONAL
Terry Richardson is entering his first season in the AFL with the Arizona Rattlers.  Last season, Richardson was signed as an undrafted free-agent by the NFL’s Houston Texans, but the team released him on August 22.

COLLEGE
Richardson
played at Arizona State University from 2002-2006.  He finished his career with a 28.7 average on kickoff returns, the highest in ASU history.  He grabbed a total of 103 receptions for 1,523 yards and 13 touchdowns and finished his career as the Sun Devils active leader in career receiving yards.  He totaled 3,368 all-purpose yards at ASU in 39 games, 21 of which were starts.  In 2006, he played in the first six games before missing the second half of the season due to injury, but still earned Second-Team All-Pac-10 honors as a kick returner.  Before being injured, he totaled five receptions for 113 yards (22.6 avg.) and two touchdown catches.  He averaged 11.1 yards-per-return on 19 punt returns and 33.6 yards-per-return on nine kickoff returns.  He was named First-Team Preseason All-Pac-10 as a kick returner by several sources.  As a junior in 2005, he played in 11 games, starting seven, earning second-team All-America honors by SI.com, and also received first-team All-Pac-10 recognition, both as a kick return specialist.  He earned the Babe Alex Denon Award, presented to ASU's special teams player of the year, ranking third in the Pac-10 Conference and 16th in the nation averaging 27.3 yards per kickoff return, the third-highest single-season average in ASU history.  He placed second in the Pac-10 and seventh nationally averaging 15.3 yards per punt return, which was the seventh highest single-season average in school history and ranked 27th in the nation averaging 137.9 all-purpose yards-per-game.  He finished fourth on the team in both receptions (37) and receiving yards (495), while tying for third on the squad with five touchdown catches.  In 2004, he earned honorable-mention All-Pac-10 accolades while playing in all 12 games with nine starts.  He caught 45 passes for a total of 679 yards and ranked second on the team with 679 receiving yards.  He tallied six receiving touchdowns and one rushing touchdown and finished third on the team in all-purpose yards with 1,018 and an average of 84.8 per game.  Played in 10 games with two starts as a redshirt freshman and caught 18 passes for 236 yards while gaining 21 yards on punt returns and 46 on kickoff returns.  In 2002, he had an outstanding redshirt season on the scout team, earning the McBurney Offensive Scout Team Award.

HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL

Richardson
was born on June 12, 1984 in Dominguez Hills, Calif.  He was a 2002 graduate of Centennial High School in Corona, Calif and was the first four-year letter winner in school history.  He was a PrepStar All-American who listed as the No. 3 wide receiver in the West and earned all-league and Player-of-the-Year honors his senior year.  He collected 55 receptions for 973 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior while rushing for 191 yards and five more scores.  As a defensive back, he racked up 93 tackles and six interceptions during career.  He set school records for receptions (167), receiving yards (3,026), longest offensive touchdown (86 yards), shuttle run (4.1 sec), and vertical jump (37.5).  Richardson caught over 100 passes for just over 2,000 yards and 26 touchdowns in his junior and senior seasons combined.  He also lettered in volleyball and basketball, captained football two years, volleyball for one year and basketball for one year and was voted MVP of his volleyball team for the 2000-01 season.  His parents are Terry (truck driver, Richardson Trucking) and Victoria (AFS/Adata Corp. supervisor), and has one brother, Tyrel, and two sisters, Meashay Livingston and Vonnay Battle.  Hobbies include music, cars and spending time with his nieces and nephews.
