Biography:
ARENA FOOTBALL EXPERIENCE
Entering his third season in Arena Football and with the Rattlers. Ranks fifth for the Rattlers in all-time receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns after recording 110 receptions for 1,446 yards and 28 touchdowns. His 2008 numbers also ranked in the league’s top ten in all major receiving categories. Also returned kickoffs for touchdowns in three consecutive games, finishing the season with 51 returns for 993 yards and five scores. His 1,412 yards in 2007 were the third most in league history for a rookie, and led the team with 101 receptions and 30 touchdowns that year. Also returned 14 kickoffs for 192 yards and a score. Was named to the league’s All-Rookie team. Made the team after attending the team’s open tryout prior to the 2007 season.
COLLEGE
Harvey played his collegiate ball at Washington State University. During his senior year in 2005, Harvey had 25 catches for 431 yards and a touchdown in 11 games. As a redshirt junior in 2004, played in 11 games with one start. He made 18 grabs for 203 yards and two touchdowns. Named to Pac-10 weekly offensive team after game against New Mexico when he caught a team-leading six passes. He had at least one in every game except Oregon State and Washington. Missed all of his true sophomore year except the first game due to a right knee PCL sprain. In 2001, played eight games with no starts and was one of six true-freshmen to play for WSU. He had nine catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. He missed the Oregon game with a turf toe injury and did not play in the final three games.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL
Trandon Harvey was born May 23, 1983. Coached by Eric Peterson at Sweetwater High, played wide receiver and running back as well as defense and also ran track. Named to the San Diego Union Tribune all-county team. Finalist for San Diego Player of the Year. Named to the Union Tribune's all-academic team twice. As a junior was named the Metro Conference MVP. Named to the San Diego Union Tribune all-county team. Named the San Diego Union Tribune's athlete of the year. Harvey was the league's overall MVP in track, and was the league champion in the triple jump and the long jump. State finalist in the triple jump. The Union Tribune's San Diego track athlete of the year. Resides in Phoenix during the offseason with his wife and children, Dominic and Kade.
