PROFESSIONAL
Trandon Harvey is entering his second season in the AFL, both with the Arizona Rattlers. Last year, Harvey played in 14 games, starting 13 of them, and was the team’s leading receiver. He was named to the AFL’s all-rookie team. He led the team with 101 receptions and 1,412 yards. His 30 touchdowns led both the team and all AFL rookies. He led the team in overall scoring with 34 touchdowns good for 203 points. He ran five times for 43 yards, good for second on the team. Harvey had 14 kickoff returns for 192 yards and a touchdown.
COLLEGE
Harvey played his collegiate ball at Washington State University. During his senior year in 2005, Harvey had 25 catches for 431 yards and a touchdown in 11 games. As a redshirt junior in 2004, played in 11 games with one start. He made 18 grabs for 203 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran once for a yard. Pac-10 weekly offensive team after game against New Mexico when he caught a team-leading six passes. He had at least one in every game except Oregon State and Washington. His only catch against Oregon went for a touchdown. At UCLA, he made three catches for 41 yards. In 2003 as a redshirt sophomore, started two of the 11 games in which he played. He had one carry for six yards and 21 receptions for 247 yards. Season-high four receptions at USC and three catches twice, against Idaho and Arizona. Had catches in five straight mid-season games and eight of the last nine games, including the Holiday Bowl win over Texas. Suffered a high ankle sprain at Notre Dame and missed two weeks. Had 46 yards receiving against the Arizona Wildcats, his best yardage game of the season. Missed all of his true sophomore year except the first game due to a right knee PCL sprain. In 2001, played eight games with no starts and was one of six true-freshmen to play for WSU. He had nine catches for 83 yards and a touchdown. He missed the Oregon game with a turf toe injury and did not play in the final three games.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL
Trandon Harvey was born May 23, 1983. Coached by Eric Peterson at Sweetwater High, played wide receiver and running back as well as defense and also ran track. As a senior year played both wide receiver and running back, rushed for over 700 yards and 15 touchdowns. Made 49 catches for over 1,000 yards and 13 touchdowns and had two interceptions on the other side of the ball. Selected to the Super Prep Far West team. All-conference and All-State first team pick at wide receiver. Named to the San Diego Union Tribune all-county team. Finalist for San Diego Player of the Year. Named to the Union Tribune's all-academic team twice. As a junior was named the Metro Conference MVP. Named to the San Diego Union Tribune all-county team. Named the San Diego Union Tribune's athlete of the year. Harvey was the league's overall MVP in track, and was the league champion in the triple jump and the long jump. State finalist in the triple jump. The Union Tribune's San Diego track athlete of the year.
