PHOENIX – The No. 3 seed Arizona Rattlers (8-8), winners of ArenaBowl VII and XI, will host a Wild Card playoff versus the No. 6 seed Utah Blaze (7-9) at US Airways Center on Saturday, May 20 at 2:00 p.m. PST.
The game, which will be televised nationally on OLN and can be heard on ESPN 860 AM.
This will be the third meeting between the two teams this season, as Arizona swept the regular season series, 2-0. The contest will mark the return of Utah head coach Danny White, who coached the Rattlers to 12 consecutive playoff appearances and two ArenaBowl championships (1994 and 1997).
White will not be the only familiar face on the Blaze sidelines as other former Rattlers with the Blaze include: Offensive Coordinator Hunkie Cooper, OS Siaha Burley, QB Joe Germaine, WR/DB Orshawante Bryant, WR/LB Tom Pace, DS Kelvin Hunter, WR/DB Ryan Dennard, Line Coach Flint Fleming and FB/LB Coach Lindsay Hassell.
Tickets for the contest are on sale now at US Airways Center and all Ticketmaster outlets. The box office at US Airways Center, where the Rattlers play their home games, is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Monday through Friday).
