Jeff Jarnigan completed his second season with the Rattlers.

in 2017, the Rattlers special teams, under Jarnigan, dominated.  They led the league in kickoff coverage, field goals, PAT kicking, and on-side kicks allowed.  The defensive line, also under Jarnigan, led the league in sacks with 27 on the year.

Prior to joining the Rattlers, Jarnigan spent seven seasons with the San Jose SaberCats, coaching in numerous capacities, and has spent nine years in Arena football.

Jarnigan also was the defensive coordinator for the AFL’s Austin Wranglers in 2004.

Aside from his AFL experience, Jarnigan also was the head coach for the AF2’s Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz from 2005-2006.  In 2000, Jarnigan became the head coach for the Minnesota Rage of the Indoor Football League.

From 1988 to 1999, Jarnigan was employed by four collegiate programs (Fort Hays State University, Bethel College, Morningside College, and Carleton College; at each, he generally served as either an offensive line or defensive line coach.

A native of Oklahoma, Jarnigan played football at Southwestern College.
