SIX NAMED TO ALL-ARENA OFFENSIVE TEAM
Chicago, IL – The Arena Football League announced Thursday that six Arizona Rattlers have been selected to the 2013 All-Arena Offensive Teams. Kicker Garrett Lindholm has been named to the First Team, while quarterback Nick Davila, wide receiver Rod Windsor, fullback Odie Armstrong, center Billy Eisenhardt and offensive lineman Michael Huey earned Second Team honors.
Lindholm (5-9, 190, Tarleton State) broke numerous records during the regular season. He converted an AFL record 158 PATs, exceeding the previous record of 138 set in 2012. Additionally, Lindholm set a new single-season record for PAT attempts with 168.
Davila (6-3, 220, Cincinnati) ranks second in the League in touchdowns (110) and passing yards (4847). He surpassed 20,000 career passing yards and became the first QB in pro football history to record four consecutive 100-touchdown seasons.
Windsor (6-2, 220, Western New Mexico) has 110 catches for 1590 and 42 touchdowns this season, recording the third consecutive 100-catch season of his career. He had multiple TD passes in 11 consecutive games. Earning Playmaker of the Week honors in Week 5, he was also named Offensive Player of the Week and voted MVP in Week 7.
Armstrong (6-1, 260, Northwest Oklahoma State) recorded 171 rushing yards and ran in a franchise-record 25 touchdowns. With at least one rushing TD in 16 consecutive games, Armstrong now has 72 career rushing touchdown, moving into eighth-highest in AFL history.
Eisenhardt (6-2, 305, Grand Valley State) and Huey (6-5, 315, Texas) were part of the highest-scoring offense in the League, protecting Davila and stopping opposing defenses. They each recorded one tackle, with Huey picking up two receptions for 25 yards.
The Arizona Rattlers are the 2012 ArenaBowl XXV World Champions and are proud members of the Arena Football League (AFL). ArenaBowl XXV marked the Rattlers seventh appearance in the AFL Championship Game where they have earned Arena Bowl titles in 1994, 1997 and 2012.
