– Today Coach Guy, Nick Davila, Cliff Dukes, Kevin McCullough, John Booker and Stryker visited the Phoenix Children’s Hospital where they spent time visiting various play rooms as well as individual bed side visits. They visited the play rooms on the oncology floor, recovery floor as well as the ICU.
Arts & Crafts were the first task of the day where we met a family that were huge Rattlers fans and make it to as many games as possible. On the oncology floor the players helped create and decorate outfits for the patients that they were using in an afternoon parade around the hospital hallways. Nick Davila made sure that Coach Guy wasn’t missing out on the action and placed a feathery purple boa and hat on him so he fit in as well.
In the ICU playroom Cliff Dukes was able to hold two year old Brendan, and surprisingly enough that deep voice of his was soothing to the little boy. Our team is always deeply moved by the courage and strength of the kids and their families. We appreciate being allowed to spend time with them.
