Hey Rattler Nation! Wanted to say congratulations on the Division Championship! The players are fired up about having the opportunity to play in front of you guys in the first round of the playoffs at the US Airways Center.
Thanks for all of the support this season. We loved the energy that the fans brought to the table for the San Jose game. But the season is not over yet. We have a long way to go and we need to keep pushing – taking one game at a time.
We are headed to the East Coast this weekend for a match up with the Philadelphia Soul. I am excited to eat some Philly cheese steak! We can’t wait to see the environment at Wells Fargo Center – I’ve heard that the fans can get crazy.
My wife and the kids went to see her family this week in New Jersey and are meeting us in Philly for the game. My son is so excited for the game that he keeps asking me if he can go out on the field and play!
My wife grew up on the East Coast and wanted to show the kids around New York City. They all visited the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, a wax museum, South Street Sea Port, Times Square and they even saw a Broadway show. They have been sending some pretty cool pictures all week.
With my family gone, I have been putting in a lot of hours at the office and getting some quality cardio workouts going. But, not to worry about my meals, Mrs. Kauahi, Assistant Head Coach Kani Kauahi’s wife, took care of me with some homemade Beef Stroganoff. Good stuff!
I’m looking forward to getting to Philly and enjoying some refreshments from our Team President, Joe Windham. He isn’t doing so well on the Arena Football League “Pick Ems” that we do every week in the office. We’re taking advantage of him because he is a rookie in this league! Our Defensive Coordinator, Omarr Smith, is doing a great job calling the defense, but has been struggling all season in “Pick Ems” – He should stay away from fantasy football!
We’ve got to keep preparing for Philadelphia, but stay tuned for some player blogs that will be coming soon!
