Two-time All-Arena center, Brennen Carvalho, returned to the Rattlers this season after spending the first two seasons of his AFL career (2010-2011) with the reigning ArenaBowl champions. He has made quite an impact in his first season back leading the offensive line to the fourth best sack prevention in the AFL. Growing up in Kapaa, Hawaii, Brennen is a proud Hawaiian who holds his homeland near and dear to his heart. His favorite musical group is Ekolu, a trio from Maui, and his favorite food is any Hawaiian plate lunch. Even after attending Portland State University, he still claims that his greatest moment outside of sports was graduating from the Honolulu Kamehameha Schools. At the Honolulu Kamehameha Schools, Carvalho earned first-team all-state honors as a senior. Brennen followed that up with two-time first-team all-American honors and a Rimington trophy (presented to the most outstanding collegiate offensive center) in 2008 during his time with Portland State University. Brennen Carvalho will be looking to make a third All-Arena team this season as well as help the Arizona Rattlers win a sixth championship in the AFL.
