Phoenix, Ariz. – The Indoor Football League (IFL) has just announced that the Arizona Rattlers had nine players selected for the 2019 All-IFL team, six of whom were on first team, and three on second team.
No other team had as many players selected as the Rattlers. The next closest team was the Iowa Barnstormers who had six players represented.
The Arizona Rattlers who were honored are as follows:

OL Lamar Mady (6-foot-2, 315, Youngstown State): Mady has been with the team since 2016 and was an integral part of the Rattlers success this season, both in rushing and pass protection. The team led the league on the ground, averaging 118.4 yards per game. The Rattlers offensive line also allowed the fewest sacks in the league with four. This is the third straight season Mady has earned first team honors.
DB Allen Chapman (5-foot-11, 195, Kansas State): This season, Chapman finished first in the league in interceptions (6) and in pass breakups (13). He also had 54 total tackles in 2019. Allen Chapman has been with the team for two world titles (2014, 2017).
C Steven Gurrola (6-foot-2, 290, Arizona): Gurrola anchored a staunch offensive line that both led the league in rushing (118.4 ypg) and in sacks allowed with four. This is Gurrola’s second straight season on the All-IFL team.
DL Nikolaus D’Avanzo (6-foot-3, 285, New Mexico): In D’Avanzo’s first season, he finished fourth in the league in sacks with 5.5. He also had 45 total tackles and blocked three kicks.
LB/DB Davontae Merriweather (6-foot-1, 200, West Texas A&M): In Merriweather’s second season with the team, he led the entire IFL in total tackles with 103. He also had four interceptions, 12 pass breakups, a sack and two fumble recoveries.
WR Jarrod Harrington (5-foot-9, 180, Campbellsville): Harrington lead the team in 2019 with 696 receiving yards and was second on the team with 14 touchdowns. He also played a major part on special teams, where he had 574 return yards and returned two kickoffs for touchdowns.
K Jimmy Camacho (5-foot-10, 190, Fresno State): In Camacho’s first season with the team, he led the IFL in points (121), PATs made (106), and was second in the league PAT percentage (91%).
DL Lance McDowdell (6-foot-4, 325, Central Florida): McDowdell returned to the Rattlers this season and anchored the stout defensive line. He finished with 32 total tackles, three sacks, and led the IFL in blocked kicks with four.
DB Dillion Winfrey (5-foot-8, 185, Central Arkansas): Winfrey finished second on the team and fifth in the league with five interceptions. He led the IFL in interception return yards (120), had eight pass breakups and 48 total tackles.
