Phoenix, Ariz. – The Indoor Football League (IFL) has just announced that the Arizona Rattlers had eight players selected for the 2018 All-IFL team, four of whom were on first team, and four on second team.
The Rattlers led the way, along with the Sioux Falls Storm and the Iowa Barnstormers each with eight selections.
The Arizona Rattlers who were honored are as follows:

RB Darrell Monroe (6-foot-2, 220, Arizona Western): Monroe led all running backs in the league in rushing yards per game (77.3) second only to QB Drew Powell from Iowa. He also led the league in rushing touchdowns with 28. Monroe was second in the league in yards per rush (5.3), rush yards (773), and attempts (147). Monroe also earned first team honors last season.
OL Lamar Mady (6-foot-2, 315, Youngstown State): Mady was an integral part of the Rattlers success this season, both in rushing and pass protection. The team led the league on the ground, averaging 125 yards per game. The Rattlers offensive line also allowed the fewest sacks in the league with nine. This is the second straight season Mady has earned first team honors.
DL Joshua Gordon (6-foot-1, 250, Minnesota State Mankato): Gordon ended the 2018 season second in the league in sacks with 6.5, and in tackles for loss with 14. He also was second on the rattlers in tackles with 54. He also pulled down one interception and had two blocked kicks.
DB Arkeith Brown (6-foot, 200, Texas A&M): Brown is the longest tenured Arizona Rattlers player currently on the roster, and has been part of four championships with the organization. This season, Brown finished fourth in the league in interceptions (4) and in interception return yards (50). He also defended ten passes this season.
WR Anthony Amos (6-foot, 185, Middle Tennessee State): Amos finished the 2018 season in second for touchdown receptions with 17. He also led the team in reception yards on the season with 493.
C Steven Gurrola (6-foot-2, 290, Arizona): Gurrola anchored a staunch offensive line that both led the league in rushing (125 ypg) and in sacks allowed with nine.
DL Chris McAllister (6-foot-2, 255, Baylor): McAllister finished the season ranking fifth in the league in tackles for loss with ten. McAllister also had 3.5 sacks this season, three batted balls, and recovered a fumble. This is the second year in a row for McAllister to make the All-IFL roster. Last season he was first team.
K Sawyer Petre (5-foot-10, 185, Puget Sound): Petre led the IFL in point after touchdown (PAT) percentage (86.6 percent), PATs made (84), and was third in the league in field goals made (11). Petre was also second in the league in scoring (kicking) with 117 points. This is the second straight season that Petre was named to the second team All-IFL team.
