ARKEITH BROWN RETURNS TO THE ARIZONA RATTLERS
Arizona Rattlers have been assigned DB, Arkeith Brown for a three year deal
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Defensive Back, Arkeith Brown has been assigned to the Arizona Rattlers. Brown has agreed on a deal through the 2015 season.
“Arkeith Brown came in and had a very impressive rookie season,” said Arizona Rattlers General Manager and Head Coach, Kevin Guy. “I don’t know if we would’ve won the championship this last season if he didn’t step up and take on the role we gave him at the end of the season. He made big plays for us, especially during the playoffs with a total of five interceptions.”
At 26 years old, Brown stands 6’1” and weighs in at 195 pounds. This is will be Brown’s second year with the Arizona Rattlers. In 2012, Brown was named Second-Team All-Arena as a rookie after recording 83.5 tackles, 21 pass breakups and 10 interceptions with the Arizona Rattlers. He earned Defensive Player of the Game honors in ArenaBowl XXV.
Brown was all-state in high school and played college football at Texas A&M. He was signed as an undrafted free agent by the New Orleans Saints in 2009.
Brown spent the 2010 season with the Green Bay Blizzard of the Indoor Football League, earning Defensive Rookie of the Year honors after snaring 12 interceptions, while also adding 23 pass breakups, one forced fumble and 67 total tackles.
