Phoenix, Ariz. – The back-to-back-to-back world champion Arizona Rattlers (3-1) will hit the road this Saturday, April 25th, to take on its division rival, the Los Angeles KISS (0-4).
With just under a quarter of the way through the season, the Arizona Rattlers (3-1) are finally beginning to put everything together. The offense, led by quarterback Nick Davila, threw for 10 touchdowns in its win over the Portland Thunder (2-2) Saturday night. The defense only allowed 13 first half points, and forced three turnovers.
Both wide receivers Kerry Reed and Rod Windsor were back for the second game this season, and have shown what a difference they make to this lineup. Davila, who has thrown for 26 touchdowns so far this season, has improved his completion percentage by 10 points (61.9% to 71.9%) since their return.
Defensively, the Rattlers lead the league in turnovers with 7 so far on the year. Defensive back Jeremy Kellem is leading the way with at least one interception in two straight games (3 total).
The Rattlers will go into the Honda Center Saturday and face the KISS, who have yet to find a way to win this season. Los Angeles is led by veteran quarterback Adrian McPherson. Although McPherson has been struggling in the air, completing only 50.7% of his passes, he has been dangerous on the ground, where he averages 5.1 yards per rush and has ran in for 8 touchdowns.
