Started dancing at age: I was putting on performances in my family room as soon as I could stand! 

Previous performance groups: NBA Denver Nuggets Dancers, nationally ranked Colorado State University dance team, state and national champions Highlands Ranch High School Poms. I have also performed with Ciara, Big n' Rich, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Dayne, Otis Day, and The Temptations. 

Favorite type of music: Indie/Acoustic/Soul. My favorite artists are Sarah Bareilles, Tristan Prettyman, Ingrid Michaelson and The Fray to name a few.

Favorite food: Sushi and veggie subs from Quiznos.

Hidden talents: I was a competitive figure skater for 8 years, water skiing, snowboarding, and I once won a Loon Calling Contest! 

When I'm not dancing I love to: Read, write in my journal, spend time with family and friends, do yoga, and workout. 

I am happiest when: I lead with my heart.

My hero is: Strong, determined and faithful women such as Maya Angelou, Jane Austen, and Mother Teresa. 

Most embarrassing moment: When I was a child I knocked over five mannequins in a store window. Arms and legs were flying! This actually probably embarrassed my parents more than me! 

Proudest accomplishment to date: Never settling and compromising my integrity. Always stretching to grow, challenge myself and experience new things. My latest leap of faith has been moving to Arizona on my own. 

Biggest pet peeve: Laziness and negativity.

Favorite subject in school: English Literature/Creative Writing

One person I’d love to have dinner with and why: Maya Angelou because I admire her as a woman who really lives authentically. She has so much perspective and wisdom to offer.  

Dream vacation: Italy

1 year ago I was: Just moving to Arizona and starting my graduate program at ASU.

In 10 years I’d like to be: Still teaching, married, happy, and still growing as a person.
